Ganga Giri Didgeridoo Player
This proud Palawa man has been rocking audiences of millions all over the world for thirty years.. Ganga Giri (pronounced Gun-Gah Gear-Ree) was drumming by eight and followed the call of the didgeridoo soon after. What started as a connection to one of the world’s oldest instruments evolved into a groundbreaking fusion of Indigenous Australian roots with global beats.
Recognised by Aboriginal elders for honoring the Yidaki’s or didgeridoo’s spiritual and cultural heritage, Ganga channels the sacred connection to Country through every performance. With 15 albums and collaborations with legends like Peter Gabriel, he’s become a global cultural ambassador—showing the world what a contemporary, multicultural Australia sounds like. Culture evolving.
